About ResourceNexus.org

Today’s many natural disasters are having an increasingly significant global impact. The volume and scale of these events create situations wherein civilian and military responders frequently find themselves working side by side, with limited time to develop mutual understandings of respective roles, opportunities for best relationships and / or preferred mutual outcomes.

The number of civilian and military disaster preparedness and response service providers continues to grow as do a multiplicity of information sources. Today, we are all severely challenged to keep up with the huge amount of information and keep track of a range of relevant meetings and/or program initiative.

ResourceNexus.org is a web portal dedicated to facilitating the exchange of timely, educational and practical information that will enhance civilian and military entities ability to more productively liaise pre-deployment and post-deployment when responding to natural disasters. The portal will proactively collect, post and organize the presentation of information provided by non-governmental, intergovernmental, military and academic entities. ResourceNexus.org does not intend to duplicate electronic information openly available through other reliable sources. It will however selectively post information gained through associative cross-source analysis in a manner designed to further understanding and progress towards stronger respect and understanding among communities.

This portal and related activities are sponsored by a consortium of institutions, led by Center for Humanitarian Cooperation (CHC) and International Medical Corps (IMC) with assistance from the Marc Lindenberg Center (MLC) and others. Additional sponsors will be gladly considered.
